Goalkeeping Beyond Technique

Elite goalkeeping is not built on reactions alone. It begins in what the goalkeeper sees, understands and changes before the final action is ever required.

01

Perception

Read the game before the situation becomes obvious.

02

Positioning

Occupy the space that keeps the next action possible.

03

Communication

Move the team with information, timing and clarity.

04

Decision

Choose under pressure by managing risk and probability.

05

Action

Execute with purpose — then review what shaped the outcome.

The coaching position

Develop the person who makes the decision.

Technique matters. But technique without perception, emotional control and connection to the team remains incomplete.

My work joins the technical, tactical, physical and psychological demands of the position inside real game conditions.
